OtterBox - Beyond the Case

You might think of OtterBox as the accessory that keeps the phone-you-spent-too-much-on© safe. But it’s a company with a true American Dream story: An entrepreneur who actually began in his garage. Stratospheric success and failure. And a commitment to corporate philanthropy that goes deeper than PR-ready photo ops. After 20 years, Otter had quite a story to tell. In fact, here’s how we told it.

UCLA Optimists 1

We helped to tell the story of UCLA through the lens of their never ending optimism, which is embodied by the accomplishments of their alumni. The creation of this spot was as much of a creative exercise as it was a research project. We had to license footage from Hollywood legends, sports icons and NASA.

UCLA Optimists 2

We knew that one spot wasn't comprehensive enough to tell UCLA's story, so we expanded on the idea.

RED ONE "Sing Louder"

The ONE team approached us to help to remind people of all the great work they have done, but also encourage them to do more. We had a tight turnaround and a massive archive of footage they provided to sort through. Oh, and Bono was approving our work, so no big deal there. We devised a visual motion system that metaphorically showed things coming apart and then come together again, which helped keep the spot cohesive.

CEET

This spot hits home, literally. We helped CEET (the Center for Excellence in Environmental Toxicology) raise awareness around their mission by focusing on the people and city they care for.

Phillies "Our House Rules Manifesto"

We created the "Our House Rules" campaign as an ode to the team, the city and specifically "the Bank". The spot was part current day excitement and nostalgia. There was no better voice other than Jim Gardner's to tell that story.

Philadelphia Eagles "Everything and More"

The Eagles do not have to sell tickets to their games. They want to connect with their fanbase and have a conversation with them. A very fun, excitable, loud, in your face, "Philly" kind of conversation. We've had the great fortune of helping them start that conversation for several seasons working with the likes of Eagles greats to celebrities like Mr. Bradley Cooper and the Roots Band.

USTA US Open Manifesto

When you think of Tennis you may think of the prim, proper and stodgy type. The tennis where you don't show emotion, you only clap in between points, everyone shakes hands at the end...Snore. That's not US Open Tennis. We were asked to remind people that US Open tennis is different, and has been since the beginning of the tournament.
