“Sustainability is spelled E-A-G-L-E-S.”

Sustainability is as much a part of the Philadelphia Eagles DNA as “Go Birds,” winged helmets, and fans tailgating at 6AM for an 8PM kickoff. For more than 20 years, the team’s Go Green initiative has been recognized as one of the most environmentally progressive programs in professional sports. We were proud to partner with the team in developing the “If You Bleed Green, Go Green” campaign to help bring fans into the story.

Game days are an opportunity to educate 70,000 fans about the Go Green efforts, and inspire them to find ways to incorporate sustainable practices in their day-to-day life.

We created a :30 TV spot to run during broadcasts that highlighted the organization’s immense efforts around initiatives as varied as game day waste sorting, biodegradable gear, and forest regeneration projects.

Working alongside the Eagles internal marketing and creative teams, we developed a Go Green toolkit to allow multiple people to develop consistent work, making the campaign more, ahem, sustainable.

RESULTS

Our campaign reversed global climate change.

We kid. Sustainability is a long-term initiative that’s carried out through hard work and dedication. The Eagles are truly inspiring in their commitment to constantly find ways to be more environmentally conscious. If a platform like “If You Bleed Green, Go Green” encouraged even a small percentage of fans to be more sustainable, we consider it a success. Go Birds!
